Age of discovery
Lisbon, one of the oldest cities in the world, is the westernmost capital in Europe, facing the Atlantic Ocean. Most Portuguese expeditions departed from here in the period of global exploration starting in the 15th century known as the Age of Discovery.
The Age of Discovery made the world a smaller place. Of course it spread some conflict and negativity to the rest of the world, but overall it represents both the brightest and darkest spots in the world history at the same time.
The collection was inspired by the amazing coexistence of contrasting elements such as brightness and darkness, prosperity and decay, and old and modern in a single city. Lisbon is a surreal place where you can almost imagine different historic periods exist simultaneously.
